My holidays =D

This Holiday (4th, 5th and 6th of December) I went to Zaragoza because my uncle got married. We went to Zaragoza by car with my uncles (my father’s brothers), my brother, my parents, my grandmother, my cousins, my boyfriend and me. We got lost on the way, so we arrived at the city at night.

The first thing we did was to go to my uncle’s house, because we hadn’t visited his house before, and after we went to a restaurant for dinner. At 1 o’clock a.m we arribed at the hotel and we went to our rooms. The hotel was really fantastic: the rooms were very big, the shower had hidrmassage and everybody had a fridge (with food and drink) and a plasma television. We were very tired, so we went to sleep immediately.

The second day, we got up quite early because we had to prepare for the wedding, but before, we went to visit the town. At 11 o’clock, everybody was very nervous and we got ready. My boyfriend and my brother looked really smart, in my opinion.

At 12 o’clock we went to the ceremony and during the wedding we laughed a lot. After, we went to the restaurant to have lunch. The decoration was really beautiful and fantastic and the food too. After the reception everybody danced and we had a very, very good time because we were really happy!!! On the last day, we got up very late because we went to bed at 2 or 3 a.m and we were tired. In the morning we were in the hotel and we had lunch in a restaurant. At night we arrived at home.

For me, this trip was very special because I was with the people who are really important and special in my life.

Hi! My name is Maria and I’m 16 years old.
Now I’m going to talk about what I did during the summer holidays.
At the begining of the summer I started to work in a summer school. On the first day I felt a little lost because I didn’t know which group I would be in, but I was lucky because I was with my older cousin.
I was with the small children (3 – 4 years old) and they were very loving and friendly. I was with them for 2 months but only in the morning.
As the children were so small we didn’t do a lot of things because they were tired an got bored very quickly, you know.
They did a lot of different things for example: They played games in the yard, they went to the parks, they draw and painted and they went to the swimming-pool and the beach.
We had to watch them carefully because there were 35 children and they could have hurt themselves.
When I finished work, in the afternoon, I went to the beach with my friends, I went to shopping etc. Some nigths I also went to parties or discos depending on the day.
But later, in the middle of the summer everything changed because my grandmother became ill and I visit her when I could but I couldn’t go out so much.
All my friends helped me a lot.
Working with the little children also helped me because we did a lot of things: we went on trips and also to a camp for 2 days, it was very hard for all the monitors with all the children.
We had to help them so much because they were so little. We had to dress them, help them have a shower and sometimes help them to eat. However, the worst was at night because most of them cried.
I had a good time but I wanted to get home. I was so tired.
The summer camp was at the end of the summer, so a week later the summer school finished and I stopped working.
In general, it wasn’t a bad summer.
I enjoyed it and I learnd a lof of new things and I met new friends.

OBSERVATION

I think that my oral presentation was quite good. Because I used a power point, but there weren’t a lot of photos beacuse se didn’t take photos at the summer school. The timing was good because my presentation lasted (X) minutes.

I was quite nervous and sometimes I didn’t look at my audience but I made some gestures or movements that held the attention of my classmates.

The structure of my presentation, was good because my ideas were clear and I organized it in the correct order, in my opinion.

The content was important for me because I talked about what I did during the summer holidays but I don’t know if the people were interested in what I was saying.

I think that my language, in general was correct because I used a varied vocabulary, I used sentence linkers and some pause fillers.

Finally, I think that my pronunciation and intonation could have been better.

To sumarize, even I though it was my first oral presentation. I think it went quite well, but I am sure that I will improve the next time.

Eat healthy

Eating healthy food is very important for your health because it helps you to have less illnesses.

Everyday there are more overweight people because of bad eating habits, most of all children, because they eat too many hamburgers, chips and drink soft drinks with addatives.

Moreover, nowadays, more and more people work sitting down (secretaries, students etc.) and so if we don’t do exercices and eat healthy food (fruit, vegetables and fish) then we won’t be healthy.

Perhaps there are people who don’t put on weight and they look well, but maybe they don’t have a healthy diet.

People who don’t do sport and don’t have a healthy diet, normally have health problems like colesterol or heart problems.

So, doctors and others experts recommend them to do sport and eat healthy food.

Teacher

I want to be a teacher because I love this job. When I finish batxillerat, I want to go to the university to study teachers training.
For me, to become a teacher is more than a dream because it’s my real vocation.
When I was little, I always said: “When I am older, I want to be a teacher”. And now, I continue thinking the same.

This summer I worked with little children in a summer school and I discovered that it was what I really want to do in the future.

When I become a teacher I will help my pupils, I become educated people and I want to theach them a lot of new things.
I also think that children give a lot of satisfaction to their teachers and it is a wonderful experience.

I chose this song because is very beautiful and my boyfriend and I, love it.

When somebody falls in love, nothing is more important than this person. Because for me, he has come into my life and he becomes the person who hugs me when I cry and the person who shares the good and bad moments in my life.

The song say: “honey, you should know that I could never go on without you, green eyes”.

And I feel that. I feel that if he goes away everything gets worse and I need him more and more all the time.

He’s the rock upon which I stand.

Opinion on film

Failure to lauch

The film is about a boy. He’s 35 years old and he lives with his parents. His mother does everything for him.
He only goes to parties, goes fishing with his friends, goes to the forest cycling and goes out with a lot of women.
That is why his parents want to find a girlfriend for him because they want him to leave home soon.
He doesn’t have a girlfriend because his last girlfriend died.
But when he goes shopping with his parents he meets a very nice girl and they start to go out.
After some time they continue going out and finally they fall in love with each other.

I think that this film is very interesting, because it is about a 30 years old boy who still lives at home and he always depends on his mother.
It’s very enjoyable because the scenes are very funny and humorous, although there are some tragic and romantic ones.
On the other hand, the actors were very good and I think that one of the best was Sarah Jessica Parker.
On the whole, I liked the film very much.

New

Divorce Decree

Getting a divorce anywhere is a stressful and painful process but if you don’t live in your own country it is more difficult.

You have to present your marriage certificate and you will need to supply details of information of your economic situation.

If you have lived in the UK for most of your married life but you are getting divorced in Spain, the judge can apply the divorce laws of the UK.
