Dear Ms.Pintó,

I am Maria, a 1st Batxillerat student.
The reason of my letter is to talk about our new school Calendar. My teacher give me a copy, and I think that it is a good Calendar but I disagree with something.
On the one hand, I agree with our timetable because the Batxillerat students have more hours to study and do homework, so this is a very good point, in my opinion.
But on the other hand, it is true that this timetable has been made to combine with the school transport, but in my opinion 1st Batxillerat students should not have to go to school on Tuestady afternoon.
Finally, I think that we could start school the second week of September because it is still summer and the people who works all the holidays, will have two weeks to relax. On the other hand, if we start on the 7th September it will be worse because we will hardly have any holidays.

I hope that you will consider my opinion.

Your Sincerely,

Maria*

New technologies

Nowadays there are a lot of new technologies, for example: computers, mobile phone’s, G.P.S, robots, cameras, play stations etc.

These things are a good discovery for everyboody buecause they make people’s lives easier: the computers permit evolution in things like science, find new medicines and find a lot of different information ; mobile phone permit communication with people who are a long distance away; G.P.S permit to find the way if you don’t know that; the robots make people’s lives easier because they can do the housework, they can cook... and play stations are enjoyable for children and teenagers.

But in my opinion, if the people abuse new technologies, that can cause problems. Children and teenegers play with mobile phones, computers and play stations a lot and I think that these things are good points if we know their correct uses, but if we don’t use them correctly they can be harmful because, I agree that teenegers need to know and work with new technologies but always with precaution. It’s better not to be bored and to have a good time meet friends, do sport and things like these.
